eMAG offers deactivated over GPSR — how to get them back

Got the "missing GPSR info" notice? Here are the concrete steps to bring offers back fast, without doing them one by one.

The notice reads: "Offers with missing GPSR information: 32,353. Offers without this information may be deactivated." If you got it, your products risk disappearing from the marketplace. Here's what to do.

Why it happens

Since 13 December 2024, GPSR (EU Regulation 2023/988) requires every online offer to display safety data: manufacturer, EU responsible person, identification and warnings. eMAG checks these fields and deactivates incomplete offers.

Step 1: understand exactly what's missing

Not all offers have the same gaps. Start with a report that groups offers by which field they're missing — so you tackle them by category, not product by product.

Step 2: fill by brand, not by product

Manufacturer and responsible-person data are the same for all products of a brand. Define them once per brand and apply in bulk. That turns 30,000 products into a few dozen configurations.

Step 3: push the data to eMAG in bulk

Via the eMAG Marketplace API you can update all offers in a single run instead of editing them manually. Once the mandatory data is complete, offers are reactivated.

Step 4: prevent it going forward

For new products, GPSR data must be filled automatically by the same rules, otherwise the problem returns. A good integration does this without intervention.
